Thank you Donna for hosting Saturday Nite Special!

I found these two "things" at one of our local thrift stores. I don't know what they are.

They were only 75 cents a piece. So I decided to try and make them into candle holders.

First I gave them many coats of cream paint.

Then I watered down some gray paint and brushed that on. Once that was dry, I sanded the edges. Then I covered the edges with a stain pen and then immediately wiped it off.

I love how it turned out. It has a beachy, driftwood look to it.
