guest room goodies

I've been sick this week. The baby has been sick this week. And my husband is out of town because his timing is good like that. I am not a happy camper. :(
Except when I'm dreaming of the new guest room I'm putting together. Here's a few goodies.....

I got this vintage crown canning jar off of Ebay. I want to find a battery operated candle and have it be a little lantern.

Even the lid is pretty.

I found this lamp at the thrift store for $4.99. Did you know Goodwill gives you seven days to return electronics? So you can go home and plug them in and make sure they work. (yes I know the lamp is crooked in the photo)

I love that it's already shabby! Now I just need a lamp shade.

My BFF Sarah called me from Target to let me know Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic window panels were on clearance and was wondering if she should pick some up for me.

$4.98 a piece???!!!! Yes please!

When she dropped them off at my house I was in my nightgown, had not brushed my hair, had not brushed my teeth, was wearing my glasses. Basically I was an unwashed mess. You know you are a true friend when I answer the door looking like that!

The curtains are so pretty!! I will probably use two on the window and dear Sarah will make the third into a pillow for me. Cuz mama don't sew. Thanks Sarah!! You ROCK!
