Garage sale finds and more.

Last Saturday morning my friend Sarah called and told me there was a garage sale with cute stuff near my house. So I ran over and found this gorgeous pedastal. "Luuuuv It!" (said in a sing song voice)

I also got this lantern. All the glass was missing from it, but I don't care. This way it can't get broken. Living with three menfolk as I do, things tend to get broken.....alot. Both pieces were already a lovely aged white color, so no work for me!

I decided to make another jelly jar vase to go inside the lantern. I simply wrapped it in some trims.

I placed some flowers from my Chitalpa tree inside.

I also did another dollar store bird make-over. This is the before.

I couldn't decide if I should paint the flowers on her wing purple or pink. So I went with boring brown. But I like it this way because it matches everything.

Here are the vase, lantern, and bird all together.
