Rustic Cabin Living

I have this dream....
I don't think it will ever come true, but I'd love to own a vacation home.
A really rustic log cabin in the woods, on a lake.
There wouldn't be anything fancy inside.
That way you can come into the house wet, dirty and sandy from playing outside and plop down on the couch and we wouldn't have to worry about anything getting ruined.

The photos you're seeing here are of four cabins from the 1800's that are on a property in Georgia.
All the cabins were taken apart, moved to the property, and had to be put together again.

Wouldn't be wonderful to sit on a rocker on the porch and listen to the birds sing.

Love the gorgeous texture on these walls!

The greenery just pops against all the browns and tans.

I imagine all kinds of yummy country cooking taking place in this kitchen.

Speaking of country cooking, we ate at The Cracker Barrel today.
Mmmm, mmm, I love that place!

Imagine sleeping up in the attic with the windows open.
Nice breezes wafting through on a summer night.
Listening to an owl "hoot".

Very rustic and yet the whites make it so soft and pretty.

See that stack of books at the end of the chaise lounge?
That spot has my name written all over it!

Do you adore this green glass vase as much as I do?

If you want to see more you can check out Garden & Gun magazine.
(isn't that name a hoot!)
