Today I am going to the dentist. The last time I went I accidentally wore my shirt inside out. If you check out my brunch w/ the girls post you can see what the shirt looks like. Trust me the pattern of the shirt is very dark on the inside so it can be hard to tell. The receptionist comes over to me in the waiting room and says "Is your shirt on inside out?" and I look down at my shirt and say "no" then look down again and say "yes" and went in the bathroom and switched it around. What can I say I was in a hurry that day. This sweet old man in the waiting room assured me that he hadn't noticed. So six months later I have an appointment and I am soooo tempted to wear that shirt again because that's just the kind of stinker that I am. But I am resisting the temptation. I happen to have a pimple right next to my lower lip right now, which I think is very bad timing. My face luckily hardly ever breaks out and I have to get one right by my lip today, come on!
I was lying in bed watching T.V. recently and Grant came in, looked at me and said "what's bad about double chins?" Before I could say anything he says"does it mean fat?" I said, yes. Then he just stood there staring right.at.my. chin!! I kindly told him to get lost. He didn't ask me this in a mean way he asked me in that innocent kid, I was just wondering way. He's adorable. (For evidence of my double chin look at my big hair post, I don't know why I'm telling you this. )
Our cat Lyndsey died last spring (that's a cheerful sentence). His last year he had diabetes and we (me) had to give him insulin shots twice a day. So when we went camping last Fall we decided to take him with us. We rented a cabin and he spent the entire time hiding under the bed. We are going camping again soon and it's making me think about Lyndsey and miss him. I was mentioning this to Grant and he told me that the last time he talked to Grandpa Shatzer on the phone Grandpa asked him if he missed Lyndsey and Grant said "I've moved on". I started laughing hysterically when Grant told me this. Grant couldn't understand why I thought this was funny. Lyndsey had already been apart of our family about five years before Grant was born so when Grant came a long I don't think our cat understood why this new, noisy creature was now in our house. So Lyndsey and Grant tolerated each other, but never really bonded. But it still cracks me up for a nine year old to say " I've moved on."
o.k. enough of my random ramblings, have a great day!
